I have to strongly recommend that you do not send me any story/product ideas. In addition to the fact that I simply don’t have time to offer my opinions or critiques very often, I have heard too many horror stories from authors who had wonderful ideas that they had to change or scrap entirely because someone else presented them with a similar idea, and they were afraid of acusations of plagiarism. If you do send me any unsolicited ideas, you are agreeing by doing so that you will hold me completely and absolutely harmless and without blame if I happen to publish a similar product at a later date. I do not steal ideas, but I know that for any given concept, there is at least a handful of people who are thinking of something along the same lines, and I simply refuse to take the risk. If you don’t agree to this caveat, don’t send me any such thing; it’s as simple as that.
