Broken Time Blues“The Purloined Ledger” appears in Broken Time Blues, an anthology of urban fantasy and other tales set in the roaring 20s. This anthology is published by Absolute XPress, and edited by the Jaym Gates and Erika Holt.

Cover art by Galen Dara.

Notes: The title of this short story is a deliberate homage to Poe’s “The Purloined Letter.”

The main character of this story is a guy about whom I intend to write a great deal more in the future. Hopefully, you’ll like him at least half as much as I do. ;-)

Advanced Players GuideAdvanced Player’s Guide published by Expeditious Retreat Press for Dungeons & Dragons 4E.

Credits: The entirety of the book, save for the Craft’s system and a few tweaks by Owen K. C. Stephens.

Notes: An enormous undertaking, intended to bring a lot of past-edition options into 4E. This includes variants on old races and classes, designed to work with WotC’s upcoming plans (so far as I know them), rather than against them. A tough project, but one I’m immensely proud of.

XRP_Freeport 4EThe Freeport Companion, published by Expeditious Retreat Press for Dungeons & Dragons 4E.

Credits: I actually only sort of worked on this book, in as much as they used/adapted some of my material from the Advanced Player’s Guide. But I’m a huge fan of the Freeport setting, and my name’s in it, so I’m happy to add it to my list. ;-)

Notes: This book includes the 4E-compatible mechanics and material to support Green Ronin’s system-free Pirate’s Guide to Freeport.

DawnforgeDawnforge was published by Fantasy Flight Games for Dungeons & Dragons 3E.

Credits: Kingsmarch and Syldanir

Notes: From the people who brought you Midnight, and many other excellent books. This is a really nifty looking campaign setting, one I’d be buying even if I wasn’t working on it. It’s also my first contract–but I very much hope not my last–with FFG. I’m honored they asked me to fill in on this one.
