Wow. Have I had "January" spelled wrong in the prior entry all this time? That’s embarrassing.<\/p>\n
So, haven’t updated in a while, but here’s the news to date. First off, I’ve had a number of articles come out for Dragon and Dungeon online magazines. There are the two linked articles, "Codex of Betrayal: Alloces" and "The Spawn of Alloces", in Dragon 373<\/a>. And we had "Deities and Demigods: Bane," from the prior issue, Dragon 372<\/a>.<\/p>\n Second, Wizards has announced a large portion of their schedule for the rest of this year, and there are a great many books to which I contributed: The Eberron Campaign Guide<\/a>, the Eberron Player’s Guide<\/a>, Draconomicon 2: Metallic Dragons<\/a>, and–most important to me personally–The Plane Below: Secrets of the Elemental Chaos<\/a>. Why is this last one so important to me? Because it’s the first major D&D book from Wizards of the Coast on which I served as Lead Designer. (For those who don’t know, that means that I envisioned and put together the outline–with input from the WotC staff, of course–parceled out assignments, approved some of the basic material, and so forth.) I also, in addition to those duties, wrote an enormous chunk of the book. Hopefully, most of you will feel that I did at least a halfway decent job; it was a lot of hard work, but it was a great privilege.<\/p>\n Finally, I promised to announce the new title of my novel–formerly Shades of Grey<\/strong><\/em>–once it was decided. Well, after much discussion with my editor (and between him and his publisher), the title of the novel going forward is The Conqueror’s Shadow<\/strong><\/em>. I believe it should still be hitting shelves early next year.<\/p>\n And I believe that does it for now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Wow.
