Specifically, I need the assistance of those of you who have read <em>The Conqueror&#8217;s Shadow <\/em>and\/or <em>The Warlord&#8217;s Legacy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been asked to do a brief reading (just a few minutes) as part of a talk about my book(s). And, well, I&#8217;ve never actually done a reading before. This one is made even more challenging because it&#8217;s not a sci-fi\/fantasy-genre-focused audience.<\/p>\n<p>So, what small segment, taken from either of those two books, do you think would work best as a reading?
