I hate season-ending cliffhangers. <em>Hate them<\/em>. With a burning passion that exceeds all rational limits. I don&#8217;t find them intriguing; I find them annoying and manipulative. I don&#8217;t mind waiting for a couple of weeks, if necessary, but a season? Not so much.<\/p>\n<p>If I like a show, I&#8217;m going to keep watching. If I don&#8217;t like a show, I&#8217;m not. Never, not <em>once<\/em>, has finding out the end of a cliffhanger been responsible for me sticking with a show I wasn&#8217;t enjoying. I don&#8217;t know anyone who it <em>has<\/em> worked on. On the other hand, I have occasionally been driven <em>away<\/em> from a show by a season-ending cliffhanger that felt <em>too<\/em> manipulative.<\/p>\n<p>So, TV producers? <em>Cut it the hell out!<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the record?
