…will have noticed that I haven’t put up any word count statuses on the Work in Progress over the past few days.
That’s because the WiP has, very briefly, become the Work Not in Progress. I’m taking a few days away from it to work on a short (but brain-draining) freelance gig. I can’t talk about what it is, yet, but it’s pretty cool.
And I should be back to the novel by the end of the week, so if you haven’t seen any new word count updates by Monday at the latest, feel free to poke me. 😉
Let us speak of the difference between "quality" and "enjoyment."
On a technical quality level, I put Thor in the top half of Marvel movies, but not at the top of the top half. Mostly well scripted, mostly well cast, but a storyline that was pretty predictable even by action movie standards.
On an enjoyment level, though? Well, I confess that it may be in part to my bias toward fantasy, and in part to how much I loved much of the casting and dialog, but in terms of how much fun I had, I put near the top of the comic book movies list. I will own this, and I may see it a second time in the theater. 😀
And this coming from someone who was never that big a follower of the character, even back in my comic-devouring days.
