…mostly for you other writers out there, but I’ll take help from anyone.
Do any of you know of any resources online that give suggestions on how to convey certain accents in written dialog? I can, if necessary, just search for specific examples in fiction of the accents in question, but it’d be a lot easier if there were a centralized source.

One of my final Babel Clash entries is up (at least for this go-round), in which I am forced to resort to ever-desperate insults because we keep agreeing with each other. Bleah.

Just a reminder that voting is still open for the David Gemmell Legend awards, and that The Conqueror’s Shadow (British edition, published by Gollancz) is one of the nominations.
There’s a huge amount of very impressive competition, so I can’t honestly say I expect to win, but I’d love to at least make a halfway decent showing. A little help, kind sirs and ladies? 🙂
