Not quite a full 2K today, but since I have to start packing for Comicpalooza, and since this took me to the end of a chapter, I’m calling it done for the day.

I’m probably kidding myself by not increasing the target word count from 70K at this point, but futile hope is still hope. 😉

Short book is proving not to be so short.

Still not changing my target word count yet. There’s still time to discover that the latter chapters aren’t running as long as the early ones. But somehow, I doubt it.

28258 / 70000 words. 40% done!

This would be another one of my patented "It’s like pulling teeth–rectally" sorts of writing days. 😛

24161 / 70000 words. 35% done!

This book would be going faster if unimportant things–like, you know, life–didn’t keep interrupting. But it’s still progressing, at least.

21993 / 70000 words. 31% done!

19764 / 70000 words. 28% done!

Not a full day’s writing today, in terms of total word count added to the book, as I also had some touching up to do on that freelance gig I was working on last week. But enough to get me through the end of Chapter Two (or, more likely, Chapters Two and Three, as I’ll probably wind up splitting this one).

And the introduction of what I think/hope is one of my creepier critters. 😈

Of course, I may end up doing more later this evening. But if I don’t, I’m happy with ending today’s work on this particular note.
