Yet Another "New Who" Question

I’m trying to figure out if I’ve literally seen every bit of New Who footage. (I’m talking about actual broadcasts of episodes and the like, not stuff like Doctor Who Confidential. And right now, at least, I’m just looking for televised stuff, not audio dramas or written fiction.)

So, I’ve seen every proper episode of New Who, from Eccleston on. I’ve seen both "Time Crash" and the Children in Need special whose name I forget, but which took place right after the regeneration from Eccleston to Tennant. I’ve seen the two animated specials, "Dreamland" and "The Infinite Quest." (Neither of which were all that great, to be honest, but not awful.) And I’ve seen the two-part story of the Sarah Jane Adventures in which Tennant appeared as the Doctor.

So, am I missing anything? Is there anything else out there that stars/includes any of the three newest Doctors?

Who; no spoilers

Best. New Who finale. Ever.

Yes, there are some holes, but not nearly enough to ruin my appreciation of the episode. And it’s got me absolutely hyped for next season.

More like this, please.

(More in-depth discussion, with spoilers, somewhere down the road.)

Suvudu: When Worlds Don’t Collide

And a new Suvudu column for your entertainment, edification, and enlightenment. (It also cures athlete’s foot and improves gas mileage. Results not guaranteed.) Today, I talk about secondary worlds, point out an area of fantasy where they’re not only not dominant, but almost utterly absent, and ponder a bit on why that is.

New ENW column: More is Not Enough

So, my latest EN World column is up. In it, I ruminate a bit–with all love and respect to designers throughout the years 😉 –on something that I think no edition of D&D has ever entirely done to my satisfaction. (This despite the fact that I have barely the vaguest notion of how it should.)

And in which I also take a moment to doff my hat to Phil Athans, and thank him for the years of hard work he put in at WotC–and the opportunities he offered me personally.

Thank you, Phil

Today was apparently Phil Athans’ last day at Wizards of the Coast.

For those who don’t know, Phil has been part of their fiction department since the TSR days, and has been in charge of that department for several years now. I’ve had several opportunities to sit down and talk with him, and I’ve worked for him–albeit at several levels of remove–on a couple of different projects. Of biggest impact to me personally, however, was the fact that Phil was the guy who decided to offer me the opportunity to kick off the new Planeswalker line, and thus gave me the opportunity to write Agents of Artifice.

I had nothing currently lined up with WotC, in terms of fiction, but I was looking forward to working with him again at some point in the future. I’m disappointed to know that won’t be happening–unless he finds a job at another sci-fi/fantasy publisher, of course, and I certainly hope that he does–and also disappointed at whoever made the decision to let him go. The fiction department at WotC won’t ever be the same without him.

Thank you, Phil–for all the work you put into the books, and for the opportunities you gave me. I hope you find yourself something even better.
